(or tradition) involving Heitzman Bakery.
The above was written by Charles Heitzman in 1949 in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Burnett Ave. location. This location was eventually purchased by Paul and Mary Agnes (Charles' daughter) Osting in 1959. The original Heitzman location was opened at 806 Baxter Ave. by Jacob Heitzman (Charles' father) in 1891.
It's a given that premium goods drive the baking market today. And for over 120 years, it's a point of well deserved pride at Heitzman's Bakery that our company's baked foods - cakes, pastries, donuts, breads, rolls, cookies, pies, coffee cakes, kuchens and special desserts, just to name a few, sit atop the rest in the our area.
